Hello everyone!
What a lovely fall day we had here in Maine! We are having a very nice week in October finally after quite a bit of rain. The only leaves left are the beech and the oak trees.
Here are my two beloved kitties--Callie and Cocoa. One of them is usually in my lap when I am working on my knitting designs. I just can't design a knitting pattern without them!
Have a fun day knitting!

Hello Fellow knitters!
I just added last Friday the 19th of October 2012, a new knitting pattern design. I really think it is so pretty. It is rather a fantasy scarf. Called Shetland's Fairy Scarf. It was so fun to create and knit. I couldn't put it down. I knitted it in KnitPicks Lace yarn that was just the right color for the pattern. You can find it in Ravelry and Craftsy. Here are links to this pattern below:

Most of my patterns sell for $4.00 and they are downloadable as soon as you purchase one. Please feel free to browse around the store. There might be more patterns you want to buy!

Good Morning happy knitters!
I took some lovely pictures of my yard yesterday with the fall colors. They are showing up more every day. Here in western Maine, the colors are almost at their peak. Too bad they fall off so quickly. The colors are certainly inspirational to designing new scarves.
Here is another new scarf pattern that I finished in September--Diamonds and Winding Ribbons Lace Scarf. This one was also knitted in a KnitPicks lace yarn. The pattern is charted as well as written out, so it makes it easier to knit following the instructions. I am trying to improve my patterns every time I make a new one.

My newest pattern Frost on the trees
Hello everyone!
I thought I would start a blog about my knitting patterns. I am the designer of Merry Melody Designs. I started June of 2012. I have wanted to publish my designs for many years, and I finally got brave enough to do it. I like to post on the Knitting Paradise forum where thousands of knitting and crochet enthusiasts go every day to share. Here is a link to that place if you are interested. http://www.knittingparadise.com/
My patterns can be found in Ravelry and Craftsy. These are great places to find patterns either for free or to buy and download. Find my stores here:

The pattern featured here today is from my latest pattern called "Frost on the Trees Lace Scarf. It was really great fun to knit. It is actually a lot easier than it looks. I love to use KnitPicks yarn for my projects, especially if I am knitting lace. Wool really shows up the pattern stitch.
I hope that this finds you in a happy knitting mood.
